“Twiga came on board when I was internally seconded to a project as subject matter expert for the change and adoption stream of a major transformation project.
Our 18-month project didn’t follow a standard flow. It was unstructured, complex and operating in an ever-changing landscape. The brief for Jo changed sometimes even daily, but she was so easy to work with, creating an organic process where we worked together to build, and adjust, a change plan.
Jo has an uncanny ability to take some very sketchy instructions from me and deliver something which is 90 per cent of what I had in my head but was unable to describe.
She also helped make me look good in front of my stakeholders – who are tough, have strong opinions, question everything and can sometimes be cynical and averse to change. They have very little tolerance for management-speak so Jo’s knack for distilling complexity succinctly was awesome.
Jo created bite-sized, just-in-time, easily digestible content that was relevant, so that our people, who are extraordinarily busy, had the information they required to do what they needed in terms of transformation.
At times I was frustrated and stressed out about high-stakes meetings with the CEO and senior leaders. At one point, our project took a major change in direction with the change of senior management.
Jo would just work out the next piece of the puzzle, find clarity and get momentum again. She was always so positive about finding a solution – and that hope is just infectious.
I could call Jo at any point, and in any state from elation to despair, and she would get me back on track. Nothing was a problem.
Jo turns things round so quickly – I don’t know how she does it, even when the landscape changes between the brief and delivery. She’s always open to feedback and adjustments, super-flexible about tweaking and so easy to work with.
Jo has a great sense of humour, a no BS approach and is so skilled and so humble. She made it fun even through a highly stressful, complex, high-stakes project. Jo gets things done.
