After graduating a Masters in Engineering, Lindy kicked off her career as an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, at the Breweries in South Africa, where she developed a passion for operational excellence, communication and flexibility. This was the start to Lindy’s career in business innovation and growth across manufacturing, digitisation and organisational change.
Growing up, Lindy always wanted to make a difference, be an inspiration and leader, looking up to her father, who as a role model, exemplified integrity, compassion, resilience and ambition. “I want to lead, bring people on a journey, creating a ripple effect that benefits a larger cause.”
Lindy studied engineering believing the skills developed would open a world of opportunity for innovation and growth. “I always loved thinking outside the box, building and creating while understanding and appreciating how all the pieces fit together in solving complex problems.”
With more than 20 years of experience in the engineering sector, Lindy brings a comprehensive perspective to the table gained from working across small, medium and large complex organisations in manufacturing, sales, and consulting capacity. Lindy has a reputation for taking stakeholders on the journey, with the ability to create and share a vision for growth, establish strong collaborations, and build relationships with key partners.
“To me it is about enabling success for the organisation, our partners and colleagues by improving performance, sustainability and relevance, creating a sense of purpose and belonging in a VUCA world. This requires leveraging skills and capabilities of the people and organisation to identify, expand or pivot into emerging markets, identifying risks and opportunities.“
Lindy is driven by solving complex problems, establishing relationships and bringing together stakeholders, breaking down barriers, capturing opportunities and conquering goals.
A turning point in Lindy’s career was leading a Digital Transformation Project, preparing the organisation for the digital future of work, incorporating agile and design thinking into the culture and operation. “Building a strong culture with shared purpose and values forms the foundation for creating an agile organisation.”
Lindy brings leadership and change expertise, strategic marketing and brand management. Lindy’s focus will be on marketing and communications, operational excellence, business innovation and growth to the Twiga Group.
“I’m excited to be working in a high performing supportive team, with aligned values and shared purpose for meaningful impact, enabling organisations and people to perform at their best and find purpose and meaning in the work they’re doing.”
