Twiga Group Managing Director Jo Smyth said that with globally distributed technical delivery teams, a key focus for the organisation was to shift its head office and leadership focus from ‘responsive’ to being more strategic.
“The consultant was able to help them focus on what matters most for growth and scale. They helped shift the focus to technology leadership, creating new ways of working for processes, systems, tools for delivery and for change.
“They were able to deliver a technology transformation change program roadmap including the establishment of program goals, work stream development, risk and issues and program governance.
This enabled the organisation to build program and change planning capability into their offshore and local technology development teams. These in turn supported the delivery of initiatives aligned to strategic outcomes.
A major success was developing a repeatable process for project implementation and change delivery, supporting work streams to better manage risk and governance.
Some of the key achievements were enabling the business to deliver software better as well as increasing global technology capabilities by increasing skills and capabilities into the offshore teams.
“Through well-managed project and change delivery over the course of 12 months, our consultant was able to introduce cultural change shifting the organisation from ’chaotic and ad hoc’ to ‘repeatable and consistent’.
“With a focus on the end game of delivering software better, traditional project and change methodologies were blended to create an easy-to-understand operating model and roadmap for change.
“Keeping it simple, repeatable and outcomes-focussed helped teams to quickly adopt new ways of working and improve project outcomes,” Ms Smyth said.
