Twiga Group Managing Director Jo Smyth said business leaders are often incredibly busy and spend a lot of time ‘going the journey alone’. They are often focussed on how to improve profits but not necessarily all the steps needed to achieve it – the main one being creating high performing teams through culture and innovation.

A single-minded focus can sometimes lead to areas of a business missing vital attention or staff issues arising through a lack of communication or understanding.

Some leaders are also potentially not realising that some of their team have valuable skills that could contribute to quicker and better results.
